Ever wanted to take a trip to India? Leave your visa at home and come join Non Stop Bhangra as we take you on a beautiful journey to experience the sounds, rhythms, colors, and flavor of India right here in San Francisco. From it’s clothing and spices to it’s musical and dancing depths, there are endless reasons to be drawn to the beautiful South Asian customs. This month we are celebrating the beautiful spirit of Indian culture, while sharing it for all of those wanting to fall in love with it anew.

The night will begin with a dance lesson teaching easy to learn moves you can flow with all night followed with beautiful and colorful dance performances by Dholrhythms Dance Company The festivities will continue with a special live set by GODS ROBOTS conceived on the internet by two musicans who had never met in the real world. Since then, they have signed a record deal with Sony India, been featured regularly on MTV, VH1 India, MTV Iggy, and played large festivals both in the US and India. After a break of two years, Gods Robots returns with a new heavyweight line up featuring classical musicians and singers. Gods Robots Non Stop Bhangra set will feature the powerhouse vocals of Ishmeet Narula who has performed live in front of thousands and collaborated with the biggest names in Punjabi and Bollywood music Industries. She’s performed at NSB several times and is always such a treat and one of our favorite live acts!

On the turntables end, Non Stop Bhangra’s own DJ’s Jimmy Love Little Rav-E DJ Mistry (Jhakaas Ent) and DJ Nix Bhachu will be on the decks sharing a full night of dance floor Bhangra classics with some Bollywood energy to round out the mix alognside live Dhol drumming all night to keep you moving and grooving until 2am. Beyond dance, Non Stop Bhangra caters to sight and sound with visuals by DJ Amar, live painting by Marcus Murray while Odell Hussey Photography captures the experience.

The journey does not end there, the summer air will be dancing to the sound of live drums while filling your senses with scrumptions indian treats provided by Curry Up Now Food Truck. The aroma of Mehndi (Henna) will be around as Ritual By Design shares beautiful creations for those hands to get painted and adorned.

A night unlike any other & a treat for the eyes and ears, the celebratory spirit of Non Stop Bhangra will make you dance with unbridled enthusiasm and feel like you are at one of the most joyous celebrations in India.
